Arusha National Park is a compact but spectacular park within 30 minutes of Arusha town. It's the only park in Tanzania where you can do a walking safari with an armed ranger. Expect giraffes, zebras, buffalo, hippos, and — on a clear day — stunning views of both Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro rising above the plains.
Hotel pickup. 30-minute drive to Arusha National Park entrance.
Optional 2-hour guided bush walk with an armed ranger. Track buffalo and encounter giraffes on foot.
Transfer to the Momella Lakes for flamingo viewing and birdwatching. Dozens of hippos at Kusini hippo pool.
Panoramic views into the 'Little Ngorongoro' crater. Picnic lunch.
Final game drive through the acacia forest. Return to Arusha by 4:30pm.
