The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's seven natural wonders. A single day spent on the crater floor can yield sightings of all Big 5, plus hippos, flamingos, and hundreds of bird species. We depart Arusha at 6:30am, descend into the crater by 9am, and spend the entire day tracking wildlife before returning to Arusha by 7pm.
Early morning pickup from your hotel. Drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Stop at the crater rim viewpoint for photos, then descend 600m to the crater floor.
Track lions, spotted hyenas, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. Picnic lunch at the hippo pool.
Drive up from the crater floor to the rim, then back to Arusha.
